About Us

Artelier Advisory was founded on a legacy of art, framing, and design that spans generations. What began as a family-run custom framing business has evolved into a specialized art advisory for Napa Valley’s boutique hotels, bed & breakfasts, and hospitality spaces. Our mission is to create art experiences as memorable as the destinations themselves.

We manage every step of the process—commissioning original works, sourcing collections, custom framing, and professional installation—so our clients can focus on what they do best: welcoming their guests. By curating art tailored to each property, we help transform hospitality spaces into authentic reflections of their brand.

Our roots run deep. The family business, Blue Dot Picture Framing, was founded by Jay Joya in San Rafael, CA, and later relocated to Maui, Hawaii, where Jay and Farima built a life and career surrounded by art. Meanwhile, their daughter, Sahar, pursued a degree in Interior Architecture and Design and spent nearly 15 years working in the field.

Today, this tradition continues through Artelier Advisory. Combining Jay’s decades of expertise in fine framing with Sahar’s design background, we’ve grown the business into its next phase: offering comprehensive commercial art design and in-house custom framing services from our new California-based workshop. Jay now focuses on his own art and is also one of Arteliers’ Featured Artists.
